Howdy Doody
Players:
4-7.
Initial deal:
7 cards are dealt down to each player.
Play:
Same as Anaconda, with these exceptions: Threes are wild if and only if the hand they are in is used to try to win the high hand. Kings are wild if and only if the hand they are in is used to try for the low hand. There are no betting rounds until the showdown.
Winner:
High and low hands split the pot.
Notes:
The low pot is usually won by a perfect low. High is usually won by at least a full house. |

Looks interesting, not seen that variation before.
Judging by the number of cards, I guess big hands are reasonably frequent throughout the game.
What would be considered a perfect low? As I say, I'm not familiar with this variation so aren't really aware of the low-end of things. |
