How do you guys play (or I guess I should say recommend playing) a strong two pair with a suited flop when you don't hold the suit. Say you hold Ace Spade Jack Spade on a Ace Clubs Jack Clubs Seven Clubs flop. Assume you bumped pre-flop like a good boy/girl and narrowed the field some.
I ask because I usually bet this hand (or any two pair with a draw with a draw on the board) pretty hard, over the pot on a small pot, or all in on a large pot and I seem to be getting called way too often on the big bet. I can understand the made flush calling/raising obviously and you probably call here with a set, but I'm seeing a lot of people call with even the Queen Clubs or Ten Clubs on the straight and flush draws, and it's not a horrible call, just something I'd probably lay down. Should I keep on trucking and making the odds poor for someone on the draw or do I need to let this go and wait for better situations? |

"Oh well, I would do it again in a second. "
Why? You lost.
Great tournament players lean away from going all in and eliminating themselves from a tournament. What if someone had a set of 7s? Was that small pot worth your tournament life? Would a BIG bet have done the trick just as well as your all in bet? At least then you could see the board come out and make your decision then.
You can't bluff a fish. So play around them. |

I would see how the bets go. If somebody's eyes light up and a large stack is pushed into the middle of the table, I'll run. Quickly.
The chance of a flush or straight is just too high, and yeah you might have another couple of aces come down.. you're more likely to see another club though, and those aren't the hands I'd want to be up against. |
