A few hours before, LP I got dealt 7s7c. Raise to $4 2 pos to my right, so limped in for $4 with 5 others. Flop comes KJ7. Guy to my right bets $5, I raise to $20. SB goes all in for $92 dollars, folded around to me and I have him outchipped $140 to $92. I pretty much go into the tank because I have NO read on this guy at all. He'd only been there for a few minutes, and hadn't played many pots. So at this point he could have limped with KK, JJ or even KJ (which would have been nice). Long story short, I decide to fight another day, and lay them down. (should have called as I found out later he had J7). No biggie, right??

Then This happens a few hours later.

ML position with $ 165 in stack. I get dealt King Spade King Hearts , and 3 limpers for $4. I make it $15 to go. Different guy in same seat on the BB goes all in. What would you have done?? Seing that I got bet out earlier, I didn't want it to happen again, and I was leaving the table after this round of the button. He has me outchipped by about $80, and isn't it about 21-1 against him having the Aces? So I smooth call, and before I get it out of my mouth he shows me Ace Spade Ace Clubs . shocked Everyone on my side of the table starts saying "no problem Kings are coming" but they don't and I'm gone as the board decides to show all rags.

What does everyone think about how I played this? I think it was a good call/bad luck, but what do I know.....I lost...lol.

First hand: Bad Fold, only two hands can beat you there, and although you didn't have a read on him that well, only calling a 4 dollar raise preflop suggests to me that he doesnt have much of a hand, definatley not JJ or KK in the hole. Second hand, you made the right call, from the way the betting was going I would ahve put him on AK or QQ, unfortunatley you got beat, but thems the breaks.

I would have stayed in any day of the week, whether I knew the players or not. The money was still small and if he was holding KK, JJ or KJ then he wasn't capitalising on it so I would have at least seen the turn of another card if not taken him all the way to the river.

Second hand, I would agree with arcfinn - unlucky, but that was reasonable play, nothing stupid and that's just how it goes sometimes.
