Anyone want to share how you play pocket pairs?
Do you will stay aggresive at all times or limp in a bit?
This was one example how I play this pocket pairs.
When I have a j-8 I will bet when the flop comes.because staying aggresive will make your opponents think when you are bluffing and when is true.Intimidation will make your game worst.Staying aggresive I think will win you lot of games. |

I play practically any pocket pair, although the amount I will commit depends on the strength.
A pair of face cards, or even a 7,8 or 9 I will play fairly aggressively, though I will stay in with a low pocket pair if I can do so without putting too much in the pot. |

| You dont play a j-8 without getting nothing with the flop .You must always consider the flop.Keeping aggresive is a nice tactic but think first if it's worth it.Or you may end up with nothing. |

Keeping confident is important, which generally comes in the form of playing aggressively. Always play confidently, right up till you fold in my opinion. The less you give away to opponents in the form of weak play the better.
And, as Corey said, if nothing comes down on the flop for your J-8 fold. Stay in if it's cheap, but you're not going to get much even if you got lucky at the turn or river. |
