Here's the most amazing hand I've ever seen...and luckily, I won it!
I look down at Ad Qd on the button in a $1-$3 spread game. I raise on the button, and get two callers, the small and big blinds. OK.
Flop: Kd Td 6h
Wow, I have four to the flush and an inside royal draw. The small blind bets the max, and the big blind raises. What the...?!? I call, the small blind reraises, and the big blind caps it. I call, as does the small blind. What did I get into here? (Pause for a guess)
Turn: Kd Td 6h 6d
OK, caught my nut flush...and the small blind bets. Big blind raises. I have no idea what's going on, so I raise just to see what happens. The small blind caps it, and the big blind and I call. I'm a little worried. I have to be up against a boat, right?
River: Kd Td 6h 6d Jd
Whoa! Royal flush! Small blind bets. Big blind raises all in (he was low on chips). I reraise, and the small blind caps it. Now the dealer is fumbling with the side pot, etc, and I just say, "Don't worry, royal." The table goes nuts. What did the big blind have? KK, for kings full of sixes. What did the small blind have? QUAD SIXES.
That was one lucky river. I'm probably an idiot for staying that long, with an obvious boat out there, but what the hell, royal draw, right? |

$146, I want to say, because one guy limped in, but folded after the raises.
Yeah, prolly dumb play, but with the royal draw, I had that feeling... |

That's got to be a rare occurance! I would feel sick as a dog losing with quads and would have insisted you were frisked for extra cards!
Slightly silly play on your behalf - it worked out great, but you were putting a lot of money into the pot on the back of hitting on the river. |
