Small live tournie tonite, $20 + $2 buy in, Freeze out. Usually good, fun practice, and you can pick up some buy ins for bigger tournies. Anyways....

Long story short....I'm the BB and holdQueen Spade Two (Duece) Spade . Limps to me, I check.

Flop comesOueen Hearts Two (Duece) Hearts Ace Spade . SB checks, I lead it with a bet of 3/4 the pot....I get reraised, everyone folds and I make a bad call, or so I thought.

TurnTwo (Duece) Clubs . I Check it, He makes a small bet so I call. I figure I've got him.

RiverSix Hearts Again I check,he goes all in. Thinking He may have Ace Two I hesitate, but Call.
He turns overAce Hearts King Hearts . I show the winning Boat....The dealer grabs the cards, points to him, puts the cards in the muck and moves the chips to him.

I point out that I had the full house and the floor is called over. They discuss it and decide the decision stands.
The entire table in disbelief pleed my case, but in the end I am forced to graciously stand up and quietly leave the Casino.

It, at the very least should have been ruled a Dead hand, but it wasn't. Just when you think you've seen it all.....

Anyone ever experienced anything like this?
Luckily it was only $22 bucks.

That's why players literally 'nail' their cards to the table with their fingers - just like the scenario you went through, for some reason, dealers try to take the winning hand and muck it. The next idiot thing that happened is that even though the whole table saw your hand and knew you had a winning hand, the pot still went the wrong way. The next thing that went wrong is the guy that got the chips, knew he didn't win. If I was playing a casino poker room, I would have gone all the way to the casino manager, and called 'gaming'. Getting the names and phone #'s of the players at the table for witnesses.

It's just like buying a $.49 light bulb. You take it home, screw it in, it doesn't work. If you don't bother to take it back for a refund, how would the company ever know they were putting out a faulty product? make all the noise you can until you are heard.

Dealer should have been strung up by his sack, along with the floor manager.

You're totally right in making a fuss about it, and you should have asked the players at the table for some contact details and threatened to make a bigger fuss about it.

$22 or no $22, it could have been $220? $2200? Idiocy and a disregard for the game, and it's casino's like these that can give gambling bad press.
